Videocon Ultra50 Smartphone Launched with 5” Display for Rs 8990
Videocon Ultra50 is a new smartphone from Videocon which has been priced at Rs. 8,990 in India. Videocon is one of the old players in the smartphone market, but it has not got much attention when compared to other big smartphone makers. The Company is offering an 18 months warranty and 15 days replacement warranty, and the handset comes with unlimited access to over 3,000 movies and music videos for a year on ErosNow application.
Recently the company has released the device like Videocon Graphite 2 V45GD, Videocon Cube 3 V50JL, Videocon Q1 V500K, Videocon V40PG and many other devices. It also released many featured phones and tablets, but nothing has got a big success. With this midrange Videocon Ultra 50, the company is hoping to get some name and compete against bigger giants.
The Videocon Ultra50 will come with a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels giving a pixel density of 294 PPI. The device supports Dual SIM capability and comes with 32GB of onboard memory which could be further extended up to a maximum of 128GB via microSD card slot. Under the hood, there is a MediaTek MT6735V/W Quad-core processor with a clocking speed of 1.0 GHz coupled with 3GB of RAM and Mali T720 GPU.
To power the handset there is a Li-Ion 3000mAh battery on the back and comes out of the box with Android Marshmallow 6.0. There is a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and is accompanied with a 5MP selfie camera. There are other regular sensors on the device with standard connectivity options.
The company is providing support for two Whatsapp accounts, and the device is pre-loaded with SOS – Be Safe emergency response app. There is a fingerprint sensor on the front which is integrated into the Home button. There are other gestures controls like we have seen on many other devices that will launch the camera app by drawing a C on the camera. These gestures can be set accordingly by heading into the settings of the device.
At this price range, the Videocon Ultra50 will be competing against the devices like Xiaomi Note 3, Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime, Swipe Elite Plus, Lenovo Vibe K5, Asus Zenfone 2 Laser, Honor 4X and few other devices. Moreover the handset will be supporting 4G LTE connectivity which gives its user the luxuary of using Jio SIM. The device will be available in Space Grey and Golden hues color variants and will be available to buy starting November first week.
