Earlier today a new smartphone called LYF F1 Plus is listed on Snapdeal. It comes with same design and almost same specifications as LYF F1. But this new device is powered by Samsung’s Exynos octa-core SoC instead of Snapdragon SoC. Now, we got some exclusive information for you. The LYF Water 9 smartphone which we first reported in August is now launched in the Indian market. It is rebranded version of Haier V4, and even all the LYF smartphones are just rebranded variants of Chinese smartphones. Though the LYF Flame 3, Flame 4, Flame 5, and Flame 6 are the most affordable 4G VoLTE smartphones available in the market, these come with very basic specifications. In the earlier days, LYF’s high-end devices lack the specifications to compete with the Chinese devices at Rs. 10,000 price range.

Now the company is bringing better value for money  devices, though not that good as Chinese devices. With the LYF Water 9 price at Rs. 8,499; the company is offering pretty decent hardware. It sports a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920x 1080 pixels) display and is protected by 2.5D Dragontrail glass on top. Under the hood, the Water 9 is powered by MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. The device includes 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage that can be expanded via MicroSD card slot. In the camera department, the device packs a 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash and a 5MP front camera. LYF is also offering one year additional manufacturer warranty on top of the basic one year warranty. As seen with the earlier launched LYF smartphone, the Water 9 also comes with  Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.

The device is kept powered on by a non-removable 2,800mAh battery. The company claims the device to give 10 hours of talk time and lasts upto 115 hours on standby mode. On the back of the Water 9 smartphone, we can find the fingerprint sensor which can also be used to create shortcuts for opening a maximum of three apps with three different fingers. The device also supports onscreen gestures, where you can swipe up and down with two fingers to increase or decrease the volume. The camera app can be opened with three finger slide up and three finger slide down captures the screen shot. It is a dual SIM dual standby device and supports 850 / 1800 / 2300MHz 4G bands. Connectivity options include 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0 port.

It measures 153.5 x 77.8 x 7.9 mm and weighs 168 grams. The Jio Welcome Offer with come bundled with the device offering unlimited 4G internet, voice calls, and SMS. The users can also enjoy Jio suite of apps including Jio TV, Jio Music, Jio NewsPaper for free till the end of 2017. Stay tuned for more updates!
