As expected earlier, Honor had launched two new smartphones at its 2017 global launch event held in London. The Honor 7X comes with Kirin 659 processor and is priced at Rs. 12,999. While we expected the company to launch the Honor V10 as Honor 9 Pro in the international markets, the company instead launched it as Honor View 10. It is the first smartphone from Honor to include the new Kirin 970 SoC.

It comes with a 5.99-inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) display and offers 18:9 longer aspect ratio. Under the hood, it comes with the flagship Kirin 970 octa-core processor clocked at 2.36 GHz. The processor comes coupled with Mali-G72 MP12 GPU along with a dedicated NPU. According to the NPU on this device can process 2,000 images per minute, compared to just 97 images using the CPU. It comes with 6GB of RAM and will be available in 64GB & 128GB storage options. There is also a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage up to 256GB.
Unlike the Honor 7X, the Honor View 10 will come with Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0 out of the box. Talking about the cameras, the View 10 comes with 16MP + 20MP dual rear cameras with f/1.8 aperture and a 13MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies. The device is backed by a 3,750mAh non-removable battery and supports 5V/4.5A (22.5W) Honor SuperCharge fast charging technology. It measures 157.00 × 74.98 × 6.97 mm and weighs 172 grams.
The fingerprint sensor on this device is placed beneath the display and also comes with Face Unlock feature. It also supports dual 4G and dual VoLTE along with other connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, IR Blaster, NFC, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port. It will be available Navy Blue & Midnight Black color options. The Honor View 10 costs Eur 499 and will be available starting January 8th in India.

Alongside the Honor 7X global launch, Honor also introduced a new View series for the international markets. The company announced the China-exclusive Honor V10 as Honor View 10 in the global market. It is the first Honor smartphone to come with the flagship Kirin 970 SoC with a dedicated NPU. During the announcement in London, the company only announced the European pricing of the device.
The Honor View 10 smartphone will go on sale in India in January 2018. While the company mentioned it to be Amazon exclusive, the official pricing of the device is yet to be announced. However, the 128GB storage variant of the Honor View 10 is listed on the Honor India’s official website for Rs. 39,999. As of now, there is no information about the availability of this device.
