You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
Last year, Xiaomi introduced the new Mi Max series to offer better multimedia and gaming experience. The first smartphone under this new series is called as Mi Max, and in 2017, the company launched its successor, Mi Max 2. Both the devices came with a bigger display and a mammoth battery. Now, the latest leaks suggest the upcoming Mi Max 3 will be coming with the new 18:9 display technology. Looking at the launch timing of the first two Mi Max devices, the Mi Max might also launch in mid-2018.
The current-gen Mi Max 2 comes with a huge 6.44-inch Full HD display and measures 174.1 x 88.7 x 7.6 mm. With the 18:9 display on the Mi Max 3, the company might offer the similar sized display in a much smaller package. The display will also come with Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. It is also said to pack Snapdragon 630 octa-core processor with Adreno 508 GPU. Apart from the display and processor, there is not much information about the Mi Max 3 smartphone.
It should be coming with a metal unibody design and a rear-facing fingerprint sensor. The capacitive navigation buttons will be now replaced with on-screen buttons. Since the device is expected to launch in mid-2018, it will be running on the latest MIUI 9 out of the box. Currently, the Mi Max 2 with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage is retailing for Rs. 12,999. There is also a 64GB storage variant, and it comes with a price tag of Rs. 14,999.
The Mi Max sports 6.44-inch IPS display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core clocked at 2.0GHz. In the camera department, there is a 12MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies. Talking about the battery, the Mi Max 2 is backed by a 5,300mAh battery and supports Quick Charge 3.0. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
