Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) & Galaxy A8+ (2018) Smartphones – Everything You Need to Know

You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

Samsung has been offering the high-end specifications and superior build quality with their Galaxy A devices. With the 2017 Galaxy A devices, the company opted for the glass back design instead of the metal unibody design. However, Samsung had skipped launching the Galaxy A8 smartphone in 2017. It’s making a comeback in 2018 in not one, but two variants – Galaxy A8 (2018) & Galaxy A8+ (2018). Both these devices will be first from Samsung to feature dual front cameras.

As per the leaks, the 2018 Galaxy A8 devices will be launched during the CES 2018. The earlier leaked manuals revealed the device to come with Infinity Display with Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution. The Galaxy A8 (2018) & Galaxy A8+ (2018) will be water and dust resistant. They will also support wired fast charging and wireless charging. While the Galaxy Note 8 is the first Samsung smartphone to feature dual camera setup, the upcoming Galaxy A8 (2018) smartphones will be featuring the dual cameras on the front.

As per the leaks, the Galaxy S9 Plus launching 2018 will also come with dual rear cameras. Talking about the Galaxy A8 (2018) smartphones, they will also include the Live Focus feature to adjust the background blur after capturing the image. Under the hood, the Galaxy A8 (2018) & Galaxy A8+ (2018) will be powered by Exynos 7885 processor. This same chipset was recently spotted at Bluetooth certification with Bluetooth 5.0 support. On the design front, they will be featuring a metal frame with 2.5D curved glass on the front and rear.

According to SamMobile, the Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018) will be priced at €499 (approx $588 / Rs. 37,700) and €599 (approx $700 / Rs. 45,000) respectively. At this price, both the Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018) will be costliest devices in the Galaxy A lineup. As of now, there is no information about the launch of Galaxy A5 (2018) and Galaxy A7 (2018) smartphones. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details about the upcoming Samsung smartphones.
