New Honor 9i with Notch Display to Launch in India as Honor 9X
Last year, Honor launched the Honor 9i smartphone in India with 18:9 display and quad cameras. Earlier this month, the company also a launched a new device by the name Honor 9i in China. As of now, the new Honor 9i is only limited to the Chinese market. However, the latest news suggests the company to launch the new Honor 9i as Honor 9X in the Indian market. It is expected to be priced around Rs 15,000 and the official announcement will be made in July.
This new device looks similar to the Honor 10 with the reflective glass back body and rounded corners. In China, the device came with the model number LLD-AL20 and is available in 64GB and 128GB storage options. On the front is the 5.84-inch IPS display with Full HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. Just like the company’s flagship devices, the Honor 9i/9X also sports notch on the top.
The in-house EMUI includes an option to hide the notch by blacking out the screen on the sides of the notch. Just like earlier launched Honor 9i, the new Honor 9i is also powered by the same Kirin 659 octa-core processor. The device comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. There is also a dedicated MicroSD card slot for further expanding the storage. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0 out of the box.
Coming to the camera department, there are 13MP and 2MP dual cameras on the rear and a single 16MP camera on the front. It houses a 3,000mAh non-removable battery that is rated to give up to 23 days of battery life. The device comes with a rear-facing fingerprint sensor and also offers face unlock feature. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
