Nubia Z18S Sports Dual Displays & Dual Fingerprint Sensors, But Ditches Front Camera
Nubia has long been launching flagship Z-series smartphones with two-sided bezel-less displays. In the coming weeks, the company is rumored to launch the Nubia Z18S smartphone. The company is yet to make any official announcement regarding this new device. However, the first look of the device and its name is revealed by the leaked teaser image. The Nubia Z18S will be offering highest ever screen-to-body ratio seen on any Nubia smartphone.
The company is also skipping the notch even while offering a bezel-less display. While the OPPO and Vivo have launched smartphones with true bezel-less displays, they added the pop-up cameras to achieve that. The Nubia Z18S also comes with dual displays. While the there is a bezel-less display on the front, the Nubia Z18S also sports 16:9 color touchscreen display on the rear. Though the side-bezels seems to be minimal in size, the top and bottom bezels on the front are slightly thicker.
On the top, we can only find the earpiece, but not the front camera. The company is actually ditching the front camera on this smartphone. Instead, the users can capture selfies with the dual rear cameras and the secondary display on the rear. While this doesn’t seem as fancy as front cameras on the OPPO Find X or Vivo NEX, the Nubia Z18S setup seems to be better to use in real-world scenarios. While the volume rocker is on the right edge, the power button is placed on the left edge.
The dual features don’t end there, we can actually find two fingerprint sensors. Each one placed on both the side edges. The Porsche Design Huawei Mate RS launched earlier this year came with an in-display fingerprint sensor and also a capacitive fingerprint sensor placed on the rear. As mentioned above, the Nubia Z18S sports dual cameras on the rear along with dual LED flash. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
