Coolpad Sky 3 with 5.5″ HD Display & 8MP Selfie Camera Launched
The Chinese telecommunications company, Coolpad, has officially launched its next smartphone called the Coolpad Sky 3. It is another budget smartphone offering from the company, targeting the affordable smartphone market. The company is known for launching similar smartphones in the same price point. This is the successor to the originally launched Coolpad Sky in August 2015.
The Coolpad Sky 3 features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display which comes with HD resolution (1280 x 720 pixels) and 2.5D glass on to of it. The device is powered by 64-bit MediaTek MT67355P quad-core chipset clocked at 1 GHz and coupled with Mali T720 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It also comes with 16GB of onboard storage option, which can be expanded via a microSD card upto a 128GB if you run out of space on your phone.
On the camera side, the Coolpad sky 3 sports an 8-megapixel camera with a f/2.0 aperture and an LED flash, it can be quickly launched by pressing the volume down key twice in a row. The rear camera also comes with a Professional Photography mode that features a set of customization options. These features include focus speed, ISO, white balance, color saturation and contrast.
It also has an 8-megapixel front facing selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture and 83-degree wide-angle lens. Other features that both these cameras sports are HDR, collage, GIF as well as HD video recording. The Coolpad Sky 3 will be running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. Other connectivity options include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and 3.5 mm audio jack.
The handset measure about 7.85mm in thickness and weighs around 143.9 gms. It is kept powered on by a 2,500 mAh battery. It is priced at 3,999,000 VND (approx Rs. 12,000) and will be available in White and Gold color options. The device will be available to purchase starting 1st July.
