Elephone P20 with 6GB RAM features 12 MP Camera with f/1.7 Aperture – Sample Photos

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Elephone unveiled the P9000 Edge recently, and now it looks like it is all set to launch yet another smartphone. Apparently, the company also stated that this device would probably be the top model of Elephone. And looking at the specifications, it does look so. It packs all the latest and greatest smartphone specifications from 2016, and we hope the experience will also be that good.

Talking about specs, it looks like the device will be powered by an Octa-core Helio P20 processor which will be clocked at 2.3GHz and will pack a 6GB of RAM. It will also sport Mali T880 GPU M2 for graphics processing. Talking about the camera specifications, we already have some images that are taken from this camera. These images are taken from the stock camera of the Elephone P20, which is a 12-megapixel sensor and has a f/1.7 aperture. Looking at the camera samples, the images taken from the smartphone appears good if not excellent given the lighting conditions. Check out the camera samples below:

However, we don’t have any samples from the front-facing camera of the smartphone which is to be of 8-megapixels. But again there is nothing much to expect there apart from a taking a bunch of selfies. The rear facing camera, on the other hand, looks promising, and it even outperforms few other smartphones in the flagship segment. As stated earlier, this might be the best offering from the company. The device will be built with an all-metal body.

Other connectivity options will include an NFC, Bluetooth 4.1 and a USB Type-C port for data syncing and charging, which will be OTG enabled. It will also have a fingerprint scanner on the back that can be used to unlock the smartphone. Previously the company also the P9000 Edge, which also sported flagship specifications. The Elephone P9000 Edge has a metal body construction under which is there is a MediaTek Helio X25 processor. It will come in 2 variants with 4GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage or 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage option. We don’t have any information on the availability or pricing of this new P20 smartphone, so stay tuned for more details on that in coming weeks.
