Oukitel releases U7 Plus Video, Features 360° Rear Fingerprint Scanner

OUKITEL U7 Plus

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oukitel releases a smartphone called the Oukitel U7 Plus. As the name suggests, this is a Plus variant of the previously launched Oukitel U7. The U7 was priced at $50 at the time of launch and had decent specifications, considering the price. The U7 was a successor to U6. Now the newly released U7 Plus upgraded over the existing U7 in many ways. However, don’t expect any significant upgrades here.

The new Oukitel U7 Plus comes with a 5.5-inch display HD display, which is an upgrade regarding resolution than the regular U7. The new U7 Plus gets sports a 2.5D arced glass on top of it. Talking about the internals, the device is powered by a quad-core MT6737 processor which is clocked at 1.3 Ghz. It is packed with 2GB of RAM and comes with 16GB of onboard internal storage. On the camera side, we have a 13-meagapixel rear facing shooter and a 5-megapixel front facing shooter.

Other hardware features include a new 360° fingerprint scanner at the back of the device. This device also has a LED notification light, which is a nice a touch. The highlight of U7 Plus is the ability to accommodate a total of two SIM cards and a single MicroSD card slot. The Oukitel U7 Plus will have a plastic body, with a metallic texture finish. The device will be available in 3 color options which kind of seems inspired from the Apple iPhone lineup, like the Space Grey, Rose Gold, and the Champagne Gold.

The U7 which was launched by the company last year sports a 5.5-inch display as well, however, it’s resolution is much lower. It is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 1GB of RAM. It has 8GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB. It also featured an 8-megapixel rear facing and a 2-megapiexel front facing shooter. Coming back to U7 Plus, the pricing and availability of the device are unknown as the company didn’t report the same. So stay tuned for more information on that, as we will update the thread in coming days when we get more details.
