Redmi Pro, the First Xiaomi Smartphone to Feature AMOLED Display & Dual Rear Cameras
Xiaomi is rumored to launch Redmi Note 4 later this month, but yesterday the company had officially confirmed that the Redmi Pro will be unveiled on that day. Along with Redmi Pro, we might also see the first Notebook from Xiaomi on that same stage. The Xiaomi Notebook with Windows 10 OS is said to come with two different screen sizes. Talking about the Redmi Pro, there are no details regarding the specifications or the design. But the leaked images suggest the device to feature dual rear cameras which make the Redmi Pro first Xiaomi device to sport dual camera setup.
Today, the company hinted about a new feature of the device. The teaser video of Redmi Pro posted on Weibo revealed the upcoming device to come with OLED display. We expect it to be the Samsung‘s AMOLED display panel which was recently adopted by many other Chinese manufacturers. OnePlus‘s 2016 flagship OnePlus 3 also came with AMOLED display. By the end of this year, Xiaomi and LeEco are also rumored to launch the smartphones with a curved display.
The Redmi Pro comes with an all metal body, unlike other Redmi devices. Xiaomi also confirmed the device to be priced between 1499 Yuan to 1999 Yuan, while we guess it to cost 1699 Yuan. The device will be running on Android 6.0Masrhmallow out of the box with the latest MIUI 8 on top. However, the company also started working on MIUI 9 based on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat. Stay tuned for more updates!
