Previously we have seen a device from Sharp with almost zero bezels, and now yet again we have another one of them and this one also looks good. The Aquos mini SH-M03 is the latest mini version of the previously launched Sharp Aquos. This new device also has a similar design with negligible bezels on three sides. It allows the screen to fit into the device entirely.

The Aquos mini SH-M03 has a 4.7-inch 1080p resolution display and features the IGZO tech. According to the company. It is more power efficient than the conventional LCDs. Also, this phone dynamically adjusts its refresh rate from as high as 120Hz to as low as 1Hz if the screen is just set idle. This is one of a kind display with neat features, and we haven’t seen anything like this before.

The phone is not just beautiful; it is also packing good internals. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 808 chipset and is coupled with a 3GB of RAM. It also comes with a 16GB of internal storage. This is packing the same processor found on other flagship devices like the Nexus 5X, Blackberry Priv, etc. So this means this device is capable of competing with other high-end variants as well. It also comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which is the latest Android version on the market powering other devices.

On the camera side, we have a 13-megapixel rear facing camera with a f/1.9 aperture lens. The internals is powered by a 2,810 mAh battery. And interestingly, all these latest and greatest internals are packed inside a waterproof body. This device is only available in Japan right now as we write and no information about its release in other markets is available to us. The company has been innovating with this kind of display technology for a while now.

Previously we have also seen a 4K display from the manufacturer. Last year, the company announced a 5.5-inch 4K IGZO display that had mind-blowing 806 PPI pixel density. Well even though we don’t need such a display practically on a smartphone but indeed its good to see companies innovating like this and coming up with newer variants. Stay tuned for more information about this new device, as we will update more information in coming days.
