The Smartphone industry is growing at a faster pace than ever. The manufacturers are trying to outpace the competition with each and every smartphone launch. No doubt the consumers are the winners here in the process since now we have a ton of options to choose from and most importantly, all of these options are great. So if you are in the market right now to buy a smartphone, regardless of the budget, there are a handful of offerings from a given brand. From low-end affordable models to high-end premium flagships, there’s everything.

However, having a ton of options every single time doesn’t mean it’s a great thing. This often leads to a lot of confusion as we start comparing each and every model. And in this process, people often tend to forget what they were looking for in a smartphone and simply just go with the trend. Hence we decided to break certain things down to its bare minimum to make it a bit clear. Today we will see what are the few things which you should focus on primarily while buying a smartphone.

Overall User Experience

Regardless of which smartphone you buy, the overall user experience is what matters the most. After all, you are spending your hard earned money on it, right? So when you talk about the overall user experience, there are a lot of things to consider. The over user experience differs for each and every individual. Some users might want a different set of requirement whereas the other set of individuals might want something completely different. Hence a smartphone has to be highly optimized to do everything properly.

A smartphone should we well optimized inside out. The hardware which is on the outside as well as inside should be unique and user-friendly and at the same time, it should be functional. Even the software should be well optimized to go well with the hardware. And all this together makes up for the best overall user experience depending on what a particular person wants. Ideally, this is one of the most important things to look at when buying a smartphone. However, this might have a direct impact on the smartphone’s price which is what we are going to look at next.

Pricing

The pricing of the particular smartphone is again one of the most important things to consider when buying a smartphone. Ultimately it all comes down to what the money can buy, right? So it is essential that we check out each and every aspect of the device and see if it is worth the price. Now talking about the pricing, as mentioned earlier, we have pretty much everything from low-end affordable devices to the high-end flagship range.

The more you expect out of a smartphone, the more expensive it is going to be. However, that doesn’t mean you have to give up on a lot of things just to cut down your cost. There are a lot of budget-centric offerings in the market from a lot of brands like OnePlus, Xiaomi, etc. which you fetch you great user experiences without breaking your bank. Yes, these are not going to get you the best user experience on the market which the money can buy, but yes, they are phenomenal for the price at which they are being offered.

Killer Specifications?

Now, Specifications of a smartphone are something which most people are concerned about as well. In fact, for most people, who don’t really have a lot of knowledge about the kind of devices available in the market, or who don’t have a lot of experience with buying smartphones, etc. go for specifications page first, to see what they are getting into. Yes, of course, the better the specs of the device, the better the performance will be. However, it all again comes down to the over user experience.

One of the best examples is the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone. If you see from the specifications point of view, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is not the best one out there and is far from perfect. It has only 4GB of RAM whereas the OnePlus 3T is offering you 6GB of RAM for a far less price. Even the battery on the Galaxy S8 is smaller in comparison to most of the other smartphones in the market out there. Hence this proves that the best always doesn’t mean the most amount of RAM, etc. it all comes down to how well you can optimize the device for the perfect user experience.

Brand

The reason why we are discussing the brand here is because it absolutely makes no sense to go and buy a smartphone based on brand name these days. Yes, there was a time when smartphones made by Samsung, HTC, Nokia, etc. used to sell. Fast forward to today, it is not the case anymore. If that would have been the case, then smartphone manufacturers like OnePlus, Xiaomi, Oppo, etc. would have never made it out to the market. We have a lot of new brands and most of them are doing an exceptional job out there in the market.

However, this doesn’t mean you can blindly buy any smartphone from any manufacturer out there. There are a few brands which you obviously need to avoid, in order to end up buying something which won’t even last you for a couple of months. Brands like Freedom 251, for instance, are a disgrace to the industry trying to rip off people. Hence you need to make sure that you are buying the right product from the right brand. And that’s where we come in and help you buy the best ones out there in the market. Overall, just make sure that the ‘brand’ of the device should not stop you from buying if you like the product.
