Acer, as we all know, is one of the well-known brands out there in the market. The company has launched a lot of products ranging from Laptop computers to a smartphone to wearables. So definitely the company is not new to the market and certainly knows what it does. On the same lines, the company has now announced a new wearable which is essentially a smartwatch but also doubles as a Fitness band. Yes, this not something that we haven’t seen before, but it is always good to see something coming from these companies.
This new smartwatch from Acer is called the Leap Ware. As mentioned earlier, this looks like a smartwatch and functions like one. However, it also has fitness tracking capabilities which make it a good and reliable fitness tracker as well. According to the company, it is powered by a MediaTek MT2523 chipset and it also has MT5211 bio-sensing chip. On the front, we have a 1.6-inch display which will show you all the info and it is covered by the Corning Gorilla Glass SR+.

The Leap Ware pretty much has all the feature which you can find in a modern day smartwatch. It comes with IPX7 certification which makes it water resistant and it is quite durable as well. The bands are interchangeable which is always a good sign. And just like any other fitness trackers, it is packed with most of the sensors which you can ask for. This can track your heart rate, stress level, stamina, etc. and all the info is fed into the Liquid Life app.
In terms of the battery, we don’t know exactly how big the battery inside this thing is, however, the company claims that it can last for about three to five days on a single charge. And on top of everything, this smartwatch can also be paired with any Android or iOS device. All you have to do is pair it using the company’s Life app and you will be good to go. In terms of the pricing and the availability, this smartwatch should be available in North America in July and the prices start at $139 which roughly translates to about 9,000 INR. The watch is also said to launch in EMEA in Q3.
