You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

Samsung‘s latest flagship smartphone i.e. the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus are pretty much flawless, well, at least except for a few things. For instance, if you have been following the news lately, then you might already know about a red tint issue which these devices are facing. Samsung claims that there is nothing wrong with the hardware and it can be totally fixed with a quick software tweak. And in order to make things right, the company is now rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus.

If you have been living under a rock and are wondering what’s going on, some users of the Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus were facing a red tint issue with their displays. In most cases, if you see the images, it looks appears pretty bad. According to the company, this can be fixed with a small tweak from inside the settings menu. There are a ton of videos online as well which can help you fix this issue. However, if for some reason, you still haven’t figured out how to fix it, then don’t worry, Samsung has got your covered here.

The company is rolling out software to all the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus in order to fix this red tint issue. This new update which is now rolling out in Korea will add a new setting inside your Adaptive Display screen mode. Users will now be able to adjust the ‘full-screen color balance’ according to one’s individual needs. And apart from this, there is also a new option Screen Edge Color Balance. This can be found under Screen Mode menu. As the name suggests, this option can be used to adjust the colors at the edge of the display.

As mentioned earlier, this update is now rolling out in Korea. However, this update will be eventually rolled out in other countries as well. Unfortunately, we don’t have a timeframe yet, but we’re certain that it should arrive sooner than later. Having said that, be sure to let us know what do you think about this.
