Google to launch three new Pixel Smartphones this year running on Snapdragon 835

You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

Google has been launching two smartphones every year for the past couple of years. We first saw the Nexus 6P and the Nexus 5X, which was later succeeded by the Pixel smartphones. Currently, there are two-pixel smartphones out in the market right now, and now we have some reports which state that the newer Pixel smartphones for 2017 are on their way. And interestingly, it looks like we will be getting three new Pixel smartphones this year, instead of just two.

According to the new report which we have, it looks like Google will be launching three new Pixel smartphones this year. The source has revealed some new info on the Pixel smartphones. These new details have been uncovered in a piece of code, looking at which, the source confirms that the search engine giant is indeed working on three new Pixel smartphones for the year 2017. This is quite an interesting report to learn that Google is working on three smartphones instead of just two.

We don’t have a lot of info on any of these devices. However, it has been reported that the company is working on three new devices with codenames Walleye, Muskie, and Taimen. If you have been following the news lately, then you already know that these names sound familiar. We had already reported about both the Walleye & Muskie as well as the Taimen in separate stories. As of now, it looks like the Walleye is going to be a sequel to Pixel XL, whereas the Muskie is going to be a sequel to Pixel.

Taimen, on the other hand, appears to be a smartphone with a larger display than Pixel XL. This makes want to believe that the company could be working on a bezel-less designed smartphone like the Galaxy S8. However, it could also be a tablet as well, and hence we suggest you not to get your hopes high with the possibility of having a bezel-less smartphone from Google.

It has also been reported that all the three smartphones from Google will be running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. This is currently the top of the line chipset which Qualcomm is selling and it is also powering the new Galaxy S8 smartphones in the U.S. Hence the new Google Pixel smartphones will not have any issues with the performance whatsoever. As far the launch details and the pricing of these new Pixel smartphones are concerned, we don’t have much info. However, we suggest you stay tuned as we might hear about them in coming weeks and months.

Having said that, let us know what do you think about this. Would you be interested to see a new premium bezel-less Pixel smartphone this year? Be sure to let us know by dropping a comment down below and also, be sure to stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more info on this.
