Samsung is said to launch the Galaxy Note 7R in South Korea in the month of June

You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

Samsung‘s journey last year didn’t really end well with the sad demise of the Note 7 phablet. Although the device had a great design and extremely powerful internals, the device could really impress people and instead became a joke since it started exploding out in the middle. The company had to recall them and it was a whole lot of mess to sum it up. However, now a couple of months later, Samsung is all set to relaunch the Note 7 and bring it back from the dead.

Yes, you read that right. According to the new reports straight from South Korea, it looks like the company is planning on launching the much-rumored Note 7R phablet in the market. This is going to be the refurbished units of the Note 7 phablets which will have a differnet and smaller battery altogether. If you have been following the news lately then you already know this was already planned by the company in an attempt to reduce the environmental damage from the Note 7. And now it looks like it is finally happening.

According to the reports, this newly refurbished phablet will be available through all the major carriers in Korea like the SKT, KT, and LG. And what’s more interesting is the fact that it will cost way less than the original Galaxy Note 7. It has been reported that the Galaxy Note 7 will cost around 700,000 won which roughly translates to about $620 or about 40,000 INR. If you compare, this is significantly less than what the Note 7 cost initially at 988,900 won.

Do make a note that these are refurbished units only and not the new one. However, they should be in a ‘new-like’ condition given that the company didn’t really sell a lot of them and even once which we recalled were fairly new on the market. As mentioned earlier, they will be coming with a smaller battery which is likely to be of 3,200 mAh. Recently, the device was also spotted online and it was reported that it would come with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

Now, this is going to be interesting to see if this device will ever make it out of the country. And if you are thinking that the Galaxy Note 8 won’t releasing this year since the Note 7 is getting a relaunch, then you are wrong as the company predicts that it won’t affect the sales of the Galaxy Note 8 in any way. Having said that, we would like to know your thoughts on this. Would you be interested in getting your hands on this device or are you happy with a Galaxy S8 or S8 Plus?
