Two New Features Spotted on Android Wear Oreo beta

According to 9to5 Google, the latest beta version of Oreo-based Android Wear OS introduces few new features. There is a new option called as ‘Touch lock’ in the display settings to disable the touch sensitivity. However, it can be immediately turned on by just pressing the power button. The new battery saver mode will extend the battery life of the smartwatch by turning off features like vibration, location services, Wi-Fi, always-on display, and others.

Airtel Offering 100% Cashback on Unlimited Plan During Diwali

Last week, Reliance Jio announced the 100% cashback offer for its prepaid users when recharged with the Rs 399 unlimited plan. Now, Airtel also came up with 100% cashback offer during this Diwali festive season. It is applicable only on Rs 348 & Rs 349 unlimited prepaid plans. Just like Jio, Airtel users will get the cashback in the form of seven Rs 50 vouchers. Airtel users have to recharge via Airtel Payments Bank to get the cashback.

Sharp Launches Aquos R Compact with 120GHz Bezel-less Display

Sharp has launched a new smartphone called Aquos R Compact today in China. With the notch on top of the device, the device looks similar to earlier launched Aquos S2. It sports a 4.9-inch Full HD+ (2032 x 1080 pixels) IGZO display with 120Hz refresh rate. The Aquos R Compact comes powered by Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. It also packs a 16.4MP rear camera, an 8MP front camera, and a 2,500mAh battery. The smartphone comes with IP68 certification and runs on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.

DxO One Camera for Android to Launch on November 2nd

A couple of years back, DxO One camera with lighting port was announced for the iPhone users. The company is now getting ready to unveil the DxO One for Android on November 2nd. Instead of the lighting port, the Android version might come with a USB Type-C port. The users register for the early access program to test out the product before its available to the public. While the Android app will go live soon, the iPhone users have received the new 3.0 software update.

HMD Global Unveiled Nokia 7 with Glass Back Body

Just like the Nokia 6, HMD Global has today launched the Nokia 7 first in China. It is the first device from the company to feature glass back body. The device still comes with a 16:9 display and runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat put of the box. It is powered by Snapdragon 630 SoC and comes in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants. The Bothie and Nokia OZO audio features introduced with the Nokia 8 are also available on this new Nokia smartphone. Both the front and back of the device comes protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Samsung Launches 360 Round VR Camera with 17 Cameras

Samsung is the latest manufacturer to launch a professional VR camera. It came up with Samsung 360 Round, the 360-degree camera featuring 17 camera sensors. It can stream the 4K 360-degree videos in 3D. There are 6 internal mics for spatial audio along with 2 external microphone ports. The Samsung 360 Round is also IP65 certified, which means it is dust and water resistant. It will first go on sale in the U.S later this month and will reportedly cost around $10,000.

Moto Smart Speaker Mod with Amazon Alexa Launched

The Moto Smart Speaker Mod with Amazon Alexa support is finally launched today in the U.S. It was first announced alongside the 360-degree camera mod at MWC 2017 event. As shown earlier, the Moto Smart Speaker covers the rear camera of the Moto Z devices. It packs four microphones to catch the questions from anywhere in the room. The Amazon Alexa mod for Moto Z devices is priced at $150 and will be available starting November.

Samsung’s Bixby 2.0 Works Beyond Smartphones

As expected earlier, Samsung today unveiled the Bixby 2.0 at its developer conference held in San Francisco. While the first-gen Bixby is limited to smartphones and tablets, the second-gen Bixby will be added to other electronics like speakers and TVs. The Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are the first devices to offer Bixby services including Voice, Home, Vision, and Reminder. Just like Amazon’s Alexa and Google Assistant, the Bixby 2.0 will be open to developers for integrating it into their apps and services.

Monument Valley 2 Will Be Soon Available On Android

After launching the Monument Valley 2 on Apple AppStore in June this year, Ustwo Games has mentioned the Android version to release on November 6th. It is the successor to the popular Monument Valley. Back in August, the Monument Valley 2 is listed on PlayStore and the users can only pre-register as of now.
