Swipe Slate Pro 4G VoLTE Tablet with 10.1″ Display Launched for Rs.8,499
Swipe has launched an upgraded Slate Pro tablet with a bigger display. It still runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and there is no word on any future software updates. The new Swipe Slate Pro tablet comes with a 10.1-inch HD (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS display. Under the hood is the 1.1GHz unspecified quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. There is 16GB of internal storage that can be further expanded using a MicroSD card. In the camera department, there is a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front camera. It comes in Champagne Gold color and is priced at Rs. 8,499.
Celkon Joins Airtel’s Mera Pehla 4G Smartphone Initiative
Earlier this month, Airtel partnered with Karbonn to launch the A40 Indian smartphone for an effective price of Rs. 1,349. Under the “Airtel Mera Pehla 4G Smartphone” initiative, the company now launched the Celkon Smart 4G smartphone for Rs. 2,849. The users will later receive cashback of Rs. 1,500, which brings the final cost down to Rs. 1,349. However, the user needs to make recharges worth Rs. 6,000 in the first 36 months. The device supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE connectivity.
Amazon’s $80 Kindle Will Soon Get Audible Support
Amazon is now adding a new feature to its Kindle e-book readers. The listing of the most affordable Kindle ($80 / Rs. 5,999) on Amazon US mentioned that Audible will be available in the coming months. With Audible, Amazon offers audio versions of newspapers, magazines, and books. This new feature will be added in the coming months via OTA update. Since the $80 Kindle lacks 3.5mm headphone jack, the user needs to own a Bluetooth headset to make use of Audiobooks.
1MORE iBFree Wireless In-ear Headphones Launched on Amazon India
1MORE iBFree Bluetooth in-ear headphones is the latest wireless headphones to launch in India. It is priced at Rs. 3,999 and comes in Black, Blue, Green, and Red color options. The listing mentioned the 1MORE iBFree to give up to 8 hours of continuous playback. It comes with Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity and is compatible with Android and iOS devices. These wireless headphones are also water resistant, thanks to the IPX4 certification.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 to Offer 25% Better Performance than its Predecessor
Qualcomm will be unveiling the Snapdragon 845 as the successor to Snapdragon 835. Now, the leaked image revealed the company to reveal the Snapdragon 845 on December 4th in Hawaii. It is expected to feature 4X Cortex A75 cores and 4X Cortex A53 cores. The listing also revealed the new processor to 25% better performance than its predecessor. It is might also include Qualcomm’s 5G modem along with Cat.18 LTE band support. The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ are rumored to be the first devices to launch with this new chipset.
