Android 8.1 Developer Preview Now Available for Pixel and Nexus Devices
There are few rumors about the Android 8.1 Oreo update for Pixel and Nexus devices. Today, the company released the Android 8.1 Oreo-based Developer Preview for the Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 2, Pixel XL, Pixel, Pixel C, Nexus 6P, and Nexus 5X devices. The final version will be released in December and before to that, the company will be rolling out the second Developer Preview. The Android users with earlier mentioned devices can sign up for the Android Beta Program to receive the updates.
Carl Pie Posts Camera Sample Captured with OnePlus 5T
OnePlus 5T is rumored to be launched on November 16th as Amazon exclusive. Today, Carl Pie has tweeted a photo quoting “Cool photo, must have come from a great camera.” Even Pete Lau also posted a camera sample from the OnePlus 5T on Weibo. Based on the leaks, the device is expected to sport 20MP + 16MP dual camera setup on the rear and a 20MP front-facing camera. Both the OnePlus 5T and OPPO R11S Plus are rumored to feature same camera sensors.
Xiaomi Might Launch Redmi Note 5A Selfie Smartphone in India
Earlier today, Redmi India tweeted the teaser image confirming the launch of a new series in India on November 2nd. While the company teased to launch a selfie smartphone, we expect the company to bring the Redmi Note 5A launched in China. The Redmi Note 5A is launched as the successor to Redmi Note 4. It sports a 16MP camera on the front for capturing high quality selfies. Interestingly, OPPO is also launching the selfie-focused OPPO F5 smartphone with a 20MP front camera on the same day.
OPPO F5, F5 6GB, and F5 Lite Goes Official
OPPO has officially unveiled the OPPO F5, F5 6GB, and F5 Lite smartphones today in the Philippines. The OPPO F5 comes with a 6-inch Full HD+ display and is powered by MediaTek MT6763T octa-core processor. The 20MP selfie camera on this smartphone comes equipped with AI to make the photos look better. It supports dual SIM dual standby and also includes a dedicated MicroSD card slot. The device runs on Android 7.1 Nougat based ColorOS 3.2 out of the box. To make the device secure, the company is offering fingerprint sensor along with facial recognition technology.
Nokia 6 with 64GB of Storage Now Comes in a New Art Black Color
After debuting the Chinese market with Nokia 6 smartphone, HMD Global introduced it to the global audience at the MWC 2017 event. While the company is expected to launch the Nokia 7 in India on October 31st, a new variant of the Nokia 6 is now spotted on Amazon. It comes in a new Art Black color and packs the same specifications as earlier launched Nokia 6. The device packs 5.5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 430 SoC, and 64GB of internal storage. It comes with a price tag of $299 and is currently listed as out of stock.
Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) with 6GB RAM Listed Online
A new Samsung device with the model number SM-A730F is spotted on Geekbench, It is expected to be the upcoming Galaxy A7 2018 smartphone. The listing revealed the device to sport an octa-core processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. With the 2017 Galaxy A devices, the company ditched the metal body in favor of glass back body. The devices are also IP certified making them water and dust resistant. Now, the upcoming Galaxy A 2018 devices are to rumored to come with Infinity Display with 18:9 aspect ratio.
Vodafone Offers Unlimited Calling with its New Rs 69 SuperWeek Plan
Vodafone came up with a new SuperWeek plan priced at Rs. 69 in India. It comes with 7 days validity and offers voice calls along with 500 MB of high-speed data. The users can make unlimited local & STD calls for free, but not on roaming. Vodafone also mentioned that users can continuously recharge the SuperWeek plan.
Airtel Launches VoLTE Services in Gujarat
Reliance Jio 4G is the only network to offer VoLTE (Voice over LTE) services all over India. However, Airtel is the only incumbent operator who is trying to match up with Jio 4G. This week, the company rolled out the VoLTE services in Gujarat. With VoLTE, users can enjoy HD voice calls along with faster call set up time. Unlike on 4G LTE, the users on VoLTE can access internet even while responding to the calls. As of now, the Airtel 4G VoLTE will work only on selected handsets.
