You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

Earlier today, Huawei launched the newly unveiled Mate 10 devices in China. While the Mate 10 goes on sale starting today, the Mate 10 Pro and Mate 10 Porsche Design will be available in stock from November 15th. Along with these new smartphones, the company also announced the Huawei Watch 2 Pro and Porsche Design Huawei smartwatch. Huawei also upgraded its VR headset portfolio by launching the all-new Huawei VR 2, the successor to the original Huawei VR headset launched in 2016.

Talking about the new smartwatches, both the Watch 2 Pro and Porsche Design Huawei smartwatch packs same hardware internally. However, the Porsche Design Huawei smartwatch uses premium build materials and additionally features Porsche Design logo. The Watch 2 Pro sports ceramic bezel with stainless steel body and the Italian leather strap. Compared to the dial on the original Huawei Watch 2, the Watch 2 Pro & Porsche Design smartwatch comes with a refreshed design.

Talks about the specs, the Watch 2 Pro now supports eSIM for accessing 4G LTE connectivity. We can use these new smartwatches for making voice calls and send and receive messages without pairing with a smartphone. However, the user can still connect their smartphone for receiving notifications for calls, SMS, and apps. It sports a 1.2-inch AMOLED display with 390 × 390 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

The smartwatches run on Android Wear 2.0 and can be connected with Android and iOS devices. Both the Watch 2 Pro and Porsche Design smartwatch comes powered by Snapdragon 2100 quad-core processor coupled with 768MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. They are also IP68 certified and includes a 420mAh battery that is mentioned to give 1.5 days of usage. It also got the NFC payment feature through Huawei Pay and can be used with AliPay and WeChat Pay.

Though it lacks the Google services including the Google Assistant, there are Chinese apps to offer the similar experience. The Watch 2 Pro also features built-in GPS and Beidou for independent location tracking. It also features a dedicated heart rate sensor. The Huawei Watch 2 Pro costs 2,588 Yuan (approx $390 / Rs. 25,500) and will be available from November 1st in China. Coming to the premium Porsche Design Huawei smartwatch, it is priced at 4988 Yuan (approx $750 / Rs. 49,000) and will go on sale starting November 15th.
