Honor Note 10 with 6.95″ Display, 5000mAh Battery & Flagship Specifications Launched
After teasing for almost a month, Huawei’s Honor has officially unveiled the Honor Note 10 smartphone today in China. The new Honor Note 10 is the successor to the Honor Note 8 launched in 2016. While the company skipped launching the Note-series device in 2017, the new Honor Note 10 comes with top-notch internals and premium looking design. Unlike the recently launched Huawei and Honor smartphones, the new Honor Note 10 opted for the 18:9 display than the notch display.
It comes with a 6.95-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2220 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 18.5:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is the flagship HiSilicon Kirin 970 octa-core processor coupled with Mali-G72 MP12 GPU and a dedicated NPU. Just like the Honor Play, Honor Note 10 also comes with GPU Turbo out of the box. According to the company, the GPU Turbo increase the GPU performance by 60% and decreases the battery consumption by 30%.
With the Note 10, the company also introduced the CPU Turbo which is said to intelligently clean up the background apps processing and increase the performance of the CPU. The device comes with 4GB/6GB/8GB of RAM and will be available in 64GB and 128GB of internal storage option. As teased earlier, the device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery which should easily last more than a day of usage. With such a large battery, the device also supports 5V/4.5A (22.5W) Huawei’s Super Charge technology.
It comes with glass sandwich design sporting metal frame with curved glass on the front and rear. Coming to the cameras, the device sports 16MP + 24MP dual cameras on the rear with f/1.8 aperture, auto scene detection, and AIS support. For selfies, there is a single 13MP camera on the front with f/2.0 aperture. There is also a rear-facing fingerprint sensor along with face unlock support. It is also equipped with a liquid cooling tube to control the heat generated while heavy gaming.
The device misses the 3.5mm audio jack and sports only a USB Type-C port. With the provided dock, the user can connect the Honor Note 10 with the USB Type-C port to play games on a larger screen. The stereo speakers placed on the top and bottom edges should offer an immersive experience. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port. Along with the fingerprint sensor, the device can also be unlocked using the face unlock option.
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.2 out of the box. The Honor Note 10 will be available in Midnight Black and Phantom Blue color options. Coming to the pricing, the 4GB RAM variant with 64GB of internal storage is priced at 2799 Yuan. There is also a 6GB and 8GB RAM variants with 128GB of internal storage priced at 3199 Yuan and 3599 Yuan respectively.
