Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime (2016) Smartphone to come with Grace UX on top of Marshmallow 6.0
The South Korean giant is making the successor of the Galaxy Grand Prime which was released in 2014. The new device is going to be called as Galaxy Grand Prime (2016) and is reportedly coming with Samsung’s Grace UX on top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The device has been spotted at the FCC which is Indian import tracking database. This ensures that this device from Samsung is round the corner and is ready for its release very soon.
From the earlier leaks of the benchmarks run, we have the certain information about the software and thanks to the South Korean giant for user manual of Grand Prime which is already published. According to it, the new handset will come with Samsung’s Grace UX on top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow. This User Interface made debut with the Galaxy Note 7 and expected to reach the S7 series with the Nougat update in the future.
This budget friendly device or call it the low-end device will not be featuring the Samsung Pay application as the handset won’t be featuring a fingerprint scanner. Although it might be coming with the S-Bike mode and other pre-installed Samsung applications, it will not have the theme store.
The Galaxy Grand Prime 2016 will come with the features like, Ultra power saving mode (to save the consumption of battery), Wide selfie, Multi Window and Game Tools which were found in the earlier Samsung devices.
According to the manual, the Galaxy Grand Prime 2016 will be featuring a 8 MP camera on the rear accompanied by a 5 MP camera on the front. The device will feature a 5-inch 720p capacitive touchscreen display with Gorilla glass protection. Under the hood, there is a MediaTek MT6737T SoC with a 1.4 GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 processor coupled with 1.5 GB RAM.
The internal memory on the device will be 8 GB which can be extended via microSD card. According to the specifications from the user manual which is in Russian, the Galaxy Grand Prime will be competing against many other devices like Lenovo A2010, Micromax Canvas A1, Samsung Tizen Z3. Infocus M260, Xolo Era 4G, Asus Zenfone Go and Lava P7 which are come with similar specifications.
