Honor 7X with Dual Rear Cameras Launched in China

Honor launched the Honor 7X smartphone with Full HD+ FullView display today in China. It is powered by Kirin 659 octa-core processor and packs 4GB of RAM. The device will be available in 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage variants. In the camera department, there is 16MP + 2MP dual-lens camera on the rear and an 8MP camera on the front. The smartphone comes in Midnight Black, Platinum Gold, and Aurora Blue color options. Honor also mentioned the Honor 7X to soon launch in the U.S, India, and Europe.

Airtel’s 4G Phone Launched with Karbonn at Rs 1399

Airtel in partnership with Karbonn has brought a new smartphone in competition with JioPhone. This new Airtel 4G Phone is actually the Karbonn A40 Indian smartphone. Though the device will be sold at Rs. 2,899, it will be effectively costing Rs. 1,399 after the receiving the cashback of Rs. 1,500. The company also announced a special unlimited plan for Rs 169. With the Rs 169 recharge, the prepaid users will be getting unlimited local and STD calls along with 0.5MB of 4G data per day for 28 days.

Xolo Era 3, Era 2V, & Era 3X Smartphones Launched

The Era 3, Era 2V, and Era 3X are the latest smartphones from the Indian manufacturer Xolo. All the three devices are exclusively sold through Flipkart and the pricing starts at Rs. 4,999. The Xolo Era 2V and Era 3X also feature a fingerprint sensor on the rear. They come with a 5-inch HD display and are powered by MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor clocked at 1.25GHz. While the Era 3 comes with a 2,500mAh battery, the Era 2V and Era 3X sports a bigger 3,000mAh battery. The devices run on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and support 4G VoLTE connectivity.

Honor Launches WaterPlay Tablet with IP67 Rating

Along with the Honor 7X smartphone, the company also launched a new water-resistant tablet called as Honor WaterPlay. It will be available in Silver and Champagne Gold colors options. The tablet comes in Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + LTE variants. It sports a large 10.1-inch QXGA display and is powered by Kirin 659 processor. The tablet also sports stereo speakers with Harman Kardon audio technology. It is backed by a 6,660mAh battery and comes with 9V/2A (18W) fast charging support.

ZTE Blade Force with 5.5″ HD Display Launched at $130

ZTE has launched a new Blade Force smartphone in the U.S through Boost Mobile. It is priced at $130 and comes with entry-level specifications. It offers 5.5-inch HD display, Snapdragon 430 processor, 2GB RAM, and 16GB of expandable storage. It also offers LTE+ along with basic connectivity options. With all these specs, the Blade Force is kept powered on by a 3,000mAh battery.

TAGG Sports+ Earphones Launched in India for Rs. 5,999

TAGG Sports+ are the latest Bluetooth in-ear headphones launched in the Indian market. It comes with a price tag of Rs. 5,999 and are compatible with Android and iOS devices. The 120mAh battery on these headphones is mentioned to give up to 8 hours of usage and lasts up to 180 hours on standby. The headset also offers Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity with aptX technology.

ZTE Axon M Foldable Smartphone Spotted on Geekbench

Just after the FCC certification, the ZTE Axon M is now spotted on Geekbench. It comes with two displays in tablet form factor and can be folded to use it like a smartphone. The benchmark listing revealed the device to sport a quad-core processor and 4GB of RAM. The leaks also revealed it to feature Snapdragon 821 processor along with single 20 MP camera and 3,120 mAh battery. The Axon M smartphone will be officially launched on October 17th in the U.S.

Amazon Launches its First Waterproof Kindle Reader

Amazon launched a new Kindle Oasis e-book reader with 8GB storage for $250. It comes with the metal body and is also the first ever waterproof kindle with an IPX8 rating. The company also mentioned it to give up to six weeks of reading time. The new Kindle Oasis also comes with a support for Audible audiobooks. It is now available to pre-order and the shipping starts from October 31st.

Oneplus Collecting User Data Without Permission

The new reports suggest OnePlus has been gathering the personal information without users permission. All the information from the OnePlus devices is then stored on the company’s servers. The company is recording the amount of time spent on individual apps along with timestamps. Earlier this year, the company is accused of manipulating the benchmark scores on the OnePlus 5 smartphone.

Apple Pay, Android Pay, & Samsung Pay Users Can Withdraw Cash Through Wells Fargo ATMs

Till date, the mobile wallet users with Apple Pay, Android Pay, & Samsung Pay are only allowed to make card-less payments using their devices. From now on, these mobile wallet users can even withdraw cash from ATM’s without physical ATM cards. More than 5,000 Wells Fargo ATM’s across the U.S are now equipped with NFC to make this possible. Instead of fingerprint authentication, the users still need to enter ATM PIN to complete the transaction.

WhatsApp Flaw Lets Hackers Know When You Fall Asleep

A new flaw in WhatsApp would reportedly allow hackers to find out when you are sleeping and when you are texting. Hackers can easily collect this data on large scale to sell to the third-party companies. As of now, there is no option to fix this issue from the user side. However, we can expect Whatsapp to add a new option for hiding the online status for unknown contacts.
