Intex Launches Aqua Lions X1 & X1 Plus Smartphones with Shatterproof Displays & 4G VoLTE Support

From the last few months, we have been seeing at least one new Intex smartphone launching every week. Majority of the smartphones are priced under Rs. 10,000 price range and offers 4G VoLTE connectivity. Today, the company has launched two new smartphones called Intex Aqua Lions X1 and Aqua Lions X1 Plus. Apart from the different RAM and storage capacities, both the Aqua Lions X1 and Aqua Lions X1 Plus comes with the same specifications.
On the design front, the two devices look exactly same with the removable back cover. While the Intex Aqua Lions X1 costs Rs. 7,499, the Aqua Lions X1 Plus is priced at Rs. 8,499. Both the devices will be available in Glossy Black, Champagne, and Blue color options. The Jio 4G users can also claim 25GB of additional data on recharge of Rs 309 and above. The devices are mentioned to sport shatterproof displays and the company is offering free screen replacement warranty for the first year.
The Intex Aqua Lions X1 offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, whereas the Aqua Lions X1 Plus packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. On the front of the devices is the 5.2-inch IPS display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. Under the hood is the 64-bit MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz and Mali-T720 GPU. There is also a MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage up to 128GB.
The devices run on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and include pre-loaded bloatware apps like Amazon Prime Video, Cool Gallery, Ganna, Mifon Security, Swiftkey, UC Mini, Xender, and Temple Paradise Dash. In the camera department, there is a 13MP autofocus camera on the rear with f/2.0 aperture and a 5MP fixed focus camera on the front with f/2.2 aperture. Both the front and rear cameras come accompanied with LED flash. The devices measure 150.0 x 74.4 x 9.0 mm and weighs 170 grams.
On the rear of the device, we can also find the fingerprint sensor that can be used as a shutter button in the camera app. The devices include dual SIM slots and support 4G VoLTE on any one of the two SIM’s. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, FM Radio, USB OTG, 3.5mm audio jack, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. Both the Aqua Lions X1 and Aqua Lion X1 Plus are backed by 2,800mAh batteries and are rated to give up to 7 hours of talk time and lasts up to 200 hours on standby mode.
