Nokia 8 Launched with 6GB RAM & 128GB Storage

Ahead of the IFA 2017, Nokia launched the flagship Nokia 8 smartphone with Quad HD display and Snapdragon 835 processor. It is packed with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The company also hinted to bring the 6GB RAM variant of Nokia 8 with 128GB storage. While the rumors suggested Nokia 8 with 6GB RAM to go on sale in China and the U.S, the company today 6GB RAM variant on Finland. It is priced at EUR 650 (approx $770 / Rs. 49,700) and shipping begins on October 19th. As of now, there is no information about the availability of this new variant in the other markets.

Xiaomi’s Mi Home Store Now Opened in Mumbai

Xiaomi has opened its latest Mi Home store today in Mumbai. It is the company’s eighth Mi Home Store in India. Earlier to this, the opened them in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Gurugram, and Noida. Before opening its store, the company started accepting the pre-booking for its smartphones for a nominal fee of Rs. 499. Xiaomi is also offering Rs. 599 worth gift voucher that can be used for purchasing accessories. Earlier today, the company also started the “Diwali with Mi” sale which will be ending on October 17th.

Android 8.0 Oreo Public Beta Released for OnePlus 3/3t

A month after closed beta testing of Android 8.0 Oreo, OnePlus today released the Oxygen OS Public Beta for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T users. With this latest update, the OnePlus 3/3t will also get the September security patch update. The Android 8.0 Oreo brings Picture in Picture, Auto-fill, Smart text selection, new Quick Settings design, and many more. Since its in beta, the current version of OxygenOS 4.5 also includes few known issues. With the Android 8.0 Oreo, OnePlus removes the Gallery app from its devices and the users can alternatively use Google Photos app.

Moto G5S Now Comes in Midnight Blue Color

Motorola has unveiled a new Midnight Blue color variant of the Moto G5S today in India. Earlier to this, the device is available only in Fine Gold and Lunar Gray color options. During the Diwali festive season, the Moto G5S will be sold at a discounted price of Rs. 12,999, which is Rs. 2,000 lower than the launch price of Rs. 14,999. It comes with a unibody metal design and packs 5.2″ Full HD display, Snapdragon 430 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. In the camera department, the device sports a 16MP camera on the rear and a 5MP selfie camera on the front. It runs on Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box and comes backed by a 3,000mAh battery.

Qualcomm Files Lawsuit on Apple in China, Asks to Halt Sale & Production

In the battle between Qualcomm and Apple, the chip maker has filed a patent infringement lawsuit in Beijing Intellectual Property Court over the use of three patents. Qualcomm asks the court to halt the iPhone and iPad sales in China along with the production. While the court has accepted the case, there won’t be any immediate judgment. If the court agrees with Qualcomm, then it might get some edge while resolving the lawsuits by Apple and its partners in other countries. Just two days back, Taiwan’s Fair Trade Commission (FTC) has slapped a whopping $774 million fine on Qualcomm

Six 2018 Alcatel Smartphones Leaked in Press Renders

Alcatel might soon join the 18:9 display bandwagon by launching at least a couple of smartphones. The Alcatel 5, Alcatel 3V, Alcatel 3X, Alcatel 3, Alcatel 3C, and Alcatel 1X renders are leaked the reliable leakster, Evan Blass. Out of all the six devices, the Alcatel 5, Alcatel 3, and Alcatel 1X will feature displays with 18:9 aspect ratio. All the devices will be running on Android OS and are expected to go official during the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show that will be held in January 2018.

Samsung Galaxy J7+ & Galaxy J7 Core Goes on Sale

Samsung has earlier unveiled it’s Galaxy J7+ dual camera smartphone in the J-series. Today, the Galaxy J7+ and Galaxy J7 Core went on sale in the Philippines. The 13MP & 5MP dual camera sensors on the Galaxy J7+ comes with f/1.7 and f/1.9 aperture respectively. Both the devices sport 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display, but only the Galaxy J7+ comes with Full HD resolution. The smartphones will be available in Black and Gold color options.
