You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

In early 2017, Samsung and LG launched their respective flagship smartphones with the 18:9 displays. In very short span, the all-screen displays with lower resolution are also adapted for budget smartphones. LG introduced the new Q-series mid-range smartphones with Full HD+ display offering 18:9 aspect ratio. As of now, most of the major manufacturers have launched at least one smartphone with an 18:9 display. OnePlus is rumored to unveil the OnePlus 5T or the all-new OnePlus 6 with the same 18:9 display.

Even OPPO is teasing the mid-range OPPO F5 smartphone with the FullView display offering longer 18:9 aspect ratio. Today, the company has officially announced the launch date of the OPPO F5 as October 26th. As of now, there is information whether it will be a global launch or just limited to the Philippines. The device will be coming with a unibody metal design and misses the front facing home button. The fingerprint sensor can be spotted on the rear of the device. Just like the OPPO F3, the new OPPO F5 is also said to sport dual selfie cameras.

Based on the leaks, the smartphone will be featuring a 6-inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) display on the front with 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the OPPO F5 might come powered the new Snapdragon 660/630 octa-core processor. It will also include 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. There will also be a dedicated MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage. On the rear of the device, we might see a 20MP rear camera with LED flash. The OPPO F5 will support dual SIM dual standby and comes backed by a 4,000mAh battery.

While there are several leaks about the OPPO F5, there is no information about the OPPO F5 Plus, the successor to OPPO F3 Plus. The F3 Plus was launched in the first half of 2017 and came with dual rear cameras. On the other hand, Vivo launched the Vivo V7 Plus with FullView 18:9 display. However, the company is also marketing the Vivo V7 alongside the V7 Plus. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details.
