This OnePlus 5T Render with 18:9 Display Looks Legit
You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
A couple of days back, we have seen several articles mentioning the leaked OPPO F5 smartphone as the upcoming OnePlus 5T. However, the device in the image lacks the alert slider on the left edge. OnePlus debuted this physical toggle button with the OnePlus 2 and is continued till the OnePlus 5 launched in June this year. We will see this same feature even on the upcoming OnePlus smartphones. Apart from a few minor changes, the design of the OnePlus 5 looks almost similar to the OPPO R11 launched in China.
Now, the upcoming OnePlus 5T and OPPO F5 might again share the similar design with 18:9 display on the front. Unlike the OPPO F5, the OnePlus 5T will be coming with a dual camera setup on the rear. With the long 18:9 aspect ratio, the bezels on the device are expected to be trimmed to the minimum thickness and will mostly feature on-screen navigation buttons. The fingerprint sensor will be shifted to the rear of the device. OnePlus’s Oxygen OS already includes an option to opt for capacitive navigation buttons instead of on-screen navigation buttons.
While the OnePlus 5 came with Android 7.0 Nougat, we expect the upcoming OnePlus 5T to run on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. Last year’s OnePlus 3T came with the same design as OnePlus 3, but the upgrades are made internally. Apart from sporting the upgraded Snapdragon 821 processor, the OnePlus 3T also came with a bigger battery and upgraded selfie camera. Though the above OnePlus 5T image looks legit, take it with a pinch of salt until there is an official confirmation. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar as we expect more leaks to follow soon.
