After launching the Honor 9i with a FullView display in India, the company now came up with a new smartphone called as Honor 7X. It is the successor to the last year’s popular mid-range smartphone, Honor 6X. Just like its predecessor, the Honor 7X also offers dual camera setup on the rear. The smartphone comes with a unibody metal design and sports a 2.5D curved glass on the front. It is exclusively sold through Amazon in India.
Honor 7X Launched in China with 16MP Dual Rear Cameras

It sports a 5.93-inch display on the front with Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The Honor 7X is powered by the Kirin 659 octa-core processor clocked at 2.36GHz and comes coupled with Mali-T830 MP2 GPU. It includes 4GB of RAM and comes in 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage options. There is also a MicroSD card slot for further expanding the storage up to 256GB. With the in-house Histen sound algorithm, the device also offers 3D surround sound.
On the rear of the device is the dual camera setup featuring 16MP & 2MP sensors. The secondary sensor on this device is used for calculating the depth in the image for offering better Bokeh effect. For selfies, there is only an 8MP single front-facing sensor with gestures support. It is equipped with a 3,340mAh non-removable battery that is rated to give up to 21 hours of talk time and lasts up to 22 days on standby. The smartphone also supports Huawei’s SuperCharge fast charging technology using the 9V/2A (18W) power adapter.
It runs on Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box with the EMUI 5.1 laid on top. The Honor 7X also supports dual SIM dual standby using the hybrid SIM card slot. The fingerprint sensor can be spotted on the rear of the device. The smartphone comes in Midnight Black, Platinum Gold, and Aurora Blue color options. Coming to the pricing, the device is priced at 1299 Yuan, 1699 Yuan, and 1999 Yuan for the 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage variants. It is now available to pre-order and the sales will begin from October 17th.

During the Honor 7X launch in China, the company also mentioned launching it soon in the U.S, India, and Europe. In his recent interview, George Zhao, Global President of Honor, confirmed the Honor 7X to launch in India in December. It is the successor to the popular Honor 6X launched in early 2017. As seen on the Honor 6X, the new Honor 7X also comes with the metal body, dual rear cameras, and the in-house Kirin SoC. It will be coming with the FullView display offering 18:9 longer aspect ratio. The recently launched Honor 9i also came with the same FullView display.

After making the Honor 7X available for registration from mid-November, the company today officially launched the device in the Indian market. The Honor 6X launched in early 2017 is one of the best selling dual camera smartphones in the budget segment. Unlike the Honor 6X, the new Honor 7X comes with the latest 18:9 display technology. It is also the most affordable smartphone to offer Full HD+ display in India. The Honor 7X comes with the metal unibody design with rounded corners.
It sports a 5.93-inch FullView display with a 2.5D curved glass laid on the top. With the 16MP & 2MP dual camera sensors, the Honor 7X offers professional looking portrait photos in the budget category. On the front is an 8MP selfie camera which also includes portrait selfie feature. Though the device runs on Android 7.0, it will soon receive the Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0 update. The device comes with 4GB of RAM and will be available in 32GB and 64GB storage options.
With the 16nm Kirin 659 chipset and 3,340mAh battery, the device also gives superior battery life. Unlike other smartphones in the similar price range, the Honor 7X also supports 9V/2A (18W) fast charging. Instead of the USB Type-C port, the device still uses the MicroUSB 2.0 port. Honor is also offering a new feature called Wi-Fi Bridge with the Honor 7X. With this feature, the users can share the Wi-Fi connection with other users by enabling both the Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi hotspot.
