In 2017, we have seen several entry-level smartphones with an aggressive price tag even from the smaller brands. Kult is one of those brands and has launched quite a few decent smartphones priced under Rs. 10,000 price range. Today, the company launched a new budget smartphone called as Kult Ambition and is priced at Rs. 5,999. The sales for the smartphone will begin on December 11th and is exclusively sold through Amazon India.
At this price, it will be competing with the likes of Xiaomi’s Redmi and Micromax’s Bharat series smartphones. Talking about the Kult Ambition, it comes with a polycarbonate body and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. On the front is a 5-inch IPS display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. It comes powered by 64-bit MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor clocked at 1.25 GHz and comes coupled with Mali-T720 GPU and 3GB RAM.
There is also 32GB of internal storage that can be expandable up to another 32GB via a MicroSD card. In the camera department, the Kult Ambition sports a 13MP sensor on the rear and a 5MP sensor on the front for selfies and video calls. Both the cameras come accompanied by a LED flash. It is backed by a 2,600mAh battery which might not give more than a day-long usage. The power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge of the device.
On the rear, we can also find the circular fingerprint sensor that can also be used for capturing selfies, taking calls, and opening apps. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, USB OTG, FM Radio, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. It measures 145.35 x 72.7 x 9.1 mm and weighs 160 grams. The recently launched Redmi 5A is priced at just Rs. 4,999 and offers better processor and battery than the Kult Ambition.
As of now, the device comes only in Black color option. Let us know, would you be still interested in the using the Kult Ambition with 3GB RAM than the Redmi 5A with 2GB of RAM. Share your opinion with us by commenting down below or tweet us at @PhoneRadarBlog.
