LG Signature Edition Smartphone with Zirconium Ceramic Body Launched for $1800

You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

From the past couple of years, the smartphone manufacturers are bringing the limited edition variants of their flagship devices. Earlier this week, OnePlus will be launching the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition smartphone in India. Unlike the limited edition device, there are also special edition devices, which are significantly different to their original devices. Huawei launches the Porsche Design variant of the flagship Mate devices which comes with premium build materials and slightly modified design.

Now, LG has launched a new limited edition device called “LG Signature Edition” in South Korea. It is basically the same LG V30, but sports premium build materials. This new device comes in Black and White color options, and the customers can get their name engraved on the device as well. The LG Signature Edition is priced at KRW 2,000,000 (approx $1800 / Rs. 1,17,000) in South Korea. For comparison, the LG V30+ was first launched in South Korea for KRW 998,800.

The company also mentioned that the LG Signature Edition will be available only in 300 units. Instead of the Aluminum body, the Signature Edition comes with Zirconium Ceramic body. Talking about the specifications, the LG LG Signature Edition sports same internals as seen on the LG V30. However, the limited edition device comes with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. On the front is the same 6-inch FullVision OLED display with Quad HD+ (2880 x 1440 pixels) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio.

Under the hood, we are looking at the same Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor with Adreno 540 GPU. In terms of camera, there is a dual camera setup on the rear featuring a 16MP sensor with f/1.6-aperture and a 13MP sensor with f/1.9 aperture. It includes Laser autofocus, PDAF, OIS, 120-degree wide-angle lens, and dual tone LED flash. For selfies, the smartphone comes with a 5MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture and 90-degree wide-angle lens.

The device is backed by a 3,300mAh non-removable battery and supports QuickCharge and Qi wireless charging. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with LG UX UI laid on top. In South Korea, the LG Signature Edition also supports LG Pay for mobile payments. LG is also providing B&O wired earphone and B&O Bluetooth earphone with the device. In the next few days, LG will be launching the flagship LG V30+ smartphone in India.
