Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) with Infinity Display & Dual Front Cameras Leaked
You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
From the last couple of months, there are several leaks about the 2018 Galaxy smartphones. The flagship Galaxy S9 & S9 Plus are rumored to be teased at the CES 2017 event. We have also seen leaks about the 2018 Galaxy A smartphones. The company is expected to launch the Galaxy A5 (2018) & Galaxy A7 (2018) in early 2018. However, the recently leaked images and videos confirm the launch of Galaxy A8 (2018) smartphone.
The Galaxy A8 (2018) smartphone with the model number SM-A730 is now spotted in the leaked manuals. It will be launched in both single and dual SIM variants. Just like the 2017 Galaxy A devices, the Galaxy A8 (2018) will also be water and dust resistant. It will be supporting both wired fast charging and wireless charging. The smartphone features infinity display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It will be on the Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box with the Samsung Experience UI on top.
The speaker will be placed on the right edge, sitting above the power button. On the bottom edge, the Galaxy A8 (2018) includes 3.5mm audio jack and a USB Type-C port. With no space for the front facing home button, the device comes with on-screen navigation buttons. Unlike the Galaxy S8 & Note 8 devices, the rear-facing fingerprint sensor is conveniently placed below the camera sensor.
While images show only the volume rocker and power button, we also expect to see the dedicated Bixby button. The company is also offering the Face Unlock, Samsung Pay, Always-on Display, Bixby Home, Bixby Vision, and Bixby Voice. Talking about the cameras, there is a single rear camera and dual front cameras. While the Galaxy Note 8 is the company’s first smartphone to offer dual camera setup, the Galaxy A8 (2018) will be the first Samsung device to feature dual front cameras.
