Vivo X20 “King of Glory” Limited Edition Smartphone Launched in China
Earlier this year, Vivo has launched the Vivo X20 and X20 Plus smartphones in China. Now, the company has released the Vivo X20 “King of Glory” limited edition device with Red and Black paint job. The logo and antenna bands on this device come in Gold color. There are also exclusive “King of Glory” themes pre-installed on the device. The device comes in a special box with color matching accessories. Talking about the specifications, they remain same as on the standard variant. It comes with 6GB RAM and is priced at 3498 Yuan (approx $530 / Rs. 34,000).
Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime & Galaxy J7 Nxt Receives Price-cut in India
Last month, Samsung has announced price-cuts on quite a few mid-range Galaxy smartphones. Now in December, the company decreased the prices of two more Galaxy devices – Galaxy J7 Prime & Galaxy J7 Nxt. The Galaxy J7 Prime 32GB is now available for Rs. 13,900 after the discount of Rs. 3,000. On the other hand, the Galaxy J7 Nxt which was launched at Rs. 11,490 is now available for Rs. 10,490. While this information comes from an offline retailer, the company is yet to official confirms the price-cut on these new devices.
Samsung Files for the Patent on Palm Scanning Technology
The new patent file suggests Samsung has applied for the patent on Palm Scanning Technology in early 2017. Based on file which is in the Korean language, the Samsung smartphone can scan the user’s palm to show the hint for forgotten passwords. In the era of fingerprint scanning and facial recognition, not many people are depending on the passwords for unlocking their devices. However, the tricky passwords are safer than the other alternatives like face unlock or fingerprint scanners. With the palm scanning, the hint for the password will be only shown to the owner of the device. Let’s see how the company can incorporate this new feature in their upcoming smartphones.
Twitter Lite App with Less Than 3MB in Size Launched in 24 countries
Earlier, we have seen the liter versions of the popular apps for Android devices. Now, Twitter has released its Lite app on Google Play Store in 24 countries spread across Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Latin America. However, the Lite app is yet to be made available on Indian Play Store. We have already seen the lite version of its website. Now, the Twitter Lite app comes in less than 3MB size and works seamlessly even on 2G and 3G networks. It also got the data saver mode to manually download the images or videos from the feed. The company has been testing the Twitter Lite app for Android devices from September this year in the Philippines.
Samsung AX7000 & AX3000 Air Purifiers Launched in India
WIth the people are getting conscious about the increasing pollution levels, we have been the new launches of air purifies in the Indian market. Samsung has newly launched the AX7000 and AX3000 models in India. While the AX3000 is priced at Rs. 15,490, the AX7000 comes with a premium tag of Rs. 41,990. Unlike the AX3000, the AX7000 comes with an air quality monitor and 3 sensors to show the accurate PM2.5 and PM10 values along with the drop in pollution levels. Both these air purifiers will be sold via offline and online retailers across the country.
