Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform Announced with Built-in AI Engine
With the last year’s Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform, Qualcomm for the first time introduced the custom Kryo cores outside the Snapdragon 800-series. Now, the company announced the Snapdragon 700-series by launching the Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform. It fills the gap between the Snapdragon 800-series and 700-series. With the Snapdragon 710, the company seems to offer best-in-class AI processing for the high-end devices.
Just like the flagship Snapdragon 845, the new Snapdragon 710 is also built using the 10nm FinFET process. It packs 2 high-performance cores clocked at 2.2GHz and 6 power-saving cores clocked at 1.7GHz. The chipset also supports displays up to Quad HD+ resolution and HDR10 playback. According to Qualcomm, the new Snapdragon 710 has 2x AI processing power than the Snapdragon 660.
The quick AI processing is done with the enhanced Hexagon 685 DSP, Adreno 616 GPU (Qualcomm calls it Visual Processing subsystem), and Spectra 250 ISP. Talking about the upgrades in the camera department, the Spectra 250 ISP can capture images up to 32MP single ISP and 20MP dual ISP. It can also record videos up to 4K resolution at 30 fps. The embedded AI Engine on this chipset can make the portrait mode and face unlock work faster than ever.

Apart from offering improved battery life, this new chipset also offers 20% higher performance. It also supports Quick Charge 4+ fast charging technology with which you can charge your device from 0% to 50% in less than 15 minutes.
Talking about the connectivity features, the Snapdragon 710 comes equipped with Snapdragon X15 LTE modem which offers download speeds up to 800 Mbps and upload speeds up to 150 Mbps.
