Vivo NEX with True Bezel-less Display Spotted on Posters in China
Vivo has grabbed everyone’s attention by announcing the Vivo APEX concept smartphone with the bezel-less display at the MWC 2018. A few days back, we got to know that the company will be launching the retail version of the APEX smartphone in China on June 12th. The device will be officially called as Vivo NEX and might mostly retain the same design as the APEX concept smartphone.
Let’s wait and see if the company can achieve the mentioned 99% screen-to-body ratio in its first attempt. While there are several leaks about the Vivo NEX smartphone, the device is now spotted on the poster in one of the Vivo retail stores in China. The device name is mentioned as Vivo NEX and the tagline reads ‘AI intelligent flagship.’
While the whole display is not shown in the image, we can at least see the pop-up camera on the top left corner. While there is no visible bezel on the top half of the device, we have to wait for the official details for the exact screen-to-body ratio. While the Vivo APEX came with Snapdragon 660 processor, the upcoming Vivo NEX is rumored to sport flagship Snapdragon 845 processor.
It comes packed with 8GB of RAM and might come with different storage options. The Vivo NEX will be running on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo-based FunTouch OS 4.0 out of the box. Next week, the company will be launching the Vivo X21 smartphone with in-display fingerprint sensor in India. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar to know more about the upcoming Vivo smartphones!
