Vivo X21i with 6.28″ AMOLED Display & Helio P60 SoC Goes Official
Last week, a new Vivo smartphone called Vivo X21i was listed on TENAA. Today, the company has officially launched the Vivo X21i in China. It sports a metal frame with 2.5D curved glass placed on the front and rear. The device comes in White, Red, and Black color options. Ingratiatingly, the Vivo X21i comes in 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 64GB storage options. Both the storage variants will be on sale starting may 19th for 2698 Yuan (approx $425 / Rs. 28750).
While the Vivo X21 came with an in-display fingerprint sensor, the new Vivo X21 sports capacitive fingerprint sensor placed on the rear. It comes with a 6.28-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2280 × 1080 pixels) resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the 12nm MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core processor coupled with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU and 4GB/6GB of RAM. There is also a MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage on this device.
In the camera department, the Vivo X21i features 12MP + 5MP dual rear cameras and a 24MP single front camera. The device is backed by a 3,245mAh non-removable battery that also supports fast charging. It comes with a hybrid SIM card slot where the user has to choose between the secondary SIM card and the MicroSD card. While the TENAA listing mentioned the X21i to sport IRIS scanner, it’s now where mentioned on the official listing.
The Vivo X21i runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo-based Funtouch OS 4.0 out of the box. Vivo also including the China-exclusive Jovi Artificial Intelligence on this device. The device also includes Face Wake facial recognition technology to unlock with the face.
It measures 154.37 × 74.98 × 6.99 mm and weighs 159 grams. Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB OTG, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port.
