Samsung Galaxy A9 Star with 24MP Front & Rear Cameras Spotted in Hands-On Video
Samsung is long rumored to launch a new smartphone with the model number SM-G8850 in China. A few weeks ago, the device got listed on TEENA revealing the key details. Now, the live images of the device along with a hands-on video were leaked on the internet. It is expected to be launched as Galaxy A9 Star in China. Last month, the company launched the Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+ smartphones with Infinity displays.
Now, the rumored Galaxy A9 Lite will also come with a 6.28-inch Full HD+ (2220 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED Infinity display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform coupled with Kryo 260 CPU and Adreno 512 GPU. It will be offering 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage that can also be further expandable via MicroSD card slot.
On the rear, the Galaxy A9 Star sports 24MP + 16MP dual camera setup along with LED flash. As seen on the iPhone X, the dual rear cameras are placed on the top left corner. For selfies, there is a single 24MP camera on the front. It is backed by a 3,700mAh battery and should also support adaptive fast charging technology. It will be coming with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with Samsung Experience UI laid on top.
There is also a fingerprint sensor placed on the rear of the device. It measures 162.4 × 77.0 × 7.55 mm and weighs 188 grams. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port.
