Vivo NEX & NEX Flagship Edition Smartphones Go Official, Offers 91.24% Screen-to-Body Ratio

After being in the leaks from the last couple of months, the Vivo NEX was officially listed on Vivo’s official website ahead of the launch. Today, the company has officially unveiled the Vivo NEX smartphone at an event held in China. The device comes in two variants – Snapdragon 710-powered Vivo NEX and Snapdragon 845-powered Vivo NEX Flagship Edition. While both the variants come with the same design, only the flagship edition comes with pop-up selfie camera and in-display fingerprint scanner.

Internally, the Vivo NEX comes with above mid-range specifications featuring rear-facing fingerprint sensor. On the other hand, the Vivo NEX flagship edition comes with top-notch hardware. On the front, both the devices offer 6.59-inch Super AMOLED display with 19.3:9 aspect ratio and Full HD+ resolution. As the company is teasing from the last couple of weeks, there is no notch to hide on this smartphone. The devices run on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo-based FunTouch OS 4.0 out of the box.

The flagship edition comes with 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform coupled with Kryo 380 CPU and Adreno 630 GPU. It comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage. On the other hand, the base variant comes with the new 10 Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform and includes 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. In terms of optics, all the variants come with 12MP + 5MP dual rear cameras and an 8MP front camera.
