Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Leaked with 6.99″ 18:9 Display & 20MP Dual Cameras
Xiaomi is long rumored to launch the Mi Max 3 smartphone as the successor to last year’s Mi Max 2. While the Mi Max 2 came with a large 6.44-inch display with 16:9 aspect ratio, the new-gen smartphones are offering similar screen size in a compact body with 19:9 aspect ratio. The company is yet to officially confirm about the existence of Mi Max 3. However, the device has been constantly appearing in the leaks from the last few months.
According to the latest, the Mi Max 3 will be coming with a 6.99-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio. If this turns out to be true, the Mi Max 3 and Mi Max 2 should be having similar dimensions. The Mi Max 3 is also mentioned to sport the newly announced 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 Mobile platform. The Xiaomi Mi 8 SE launched alongside the Mi 8 is the world’s first smartphone to use this new chipset.
Earlier this week, Vivo also launched the Vivo NEX A smartphone with the same Snapdragon 710 chipset. Talking about the Mi Max 3, it is mentioned to be launched in two variants – 3GB + 64GB & 4GB + 128GB. On the rear, we will be looking at a dual camera setup featuring 20MP primary sensor. It should be running on the latest MIUI 10 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Xiaomi might increase the battery capacity from 5300mAh to 5500mAh on this upcoming smartphone.
With such a huge battery, the device is mentioned to come with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support. As the device comes with 18:9 display, the fingerprint sensor will be placed on the rear. The Mi Max 2 came with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor and capacitive navigation buttons. It then came with a 12MP single camera on the rear and a 5MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls.
