Motorola P30 with 6.2″ Notch Display & 16MP Dual Cameras Launched in China

The Motorola P30 has been in the news for all wrong reasons. While the company has officially launched the Motorola P30 today in China, the listing went live a couple of days earlier. The new smartphone from Lenovo owned Motorola looks exactly similar to Apple iPhone X with Huawei’s gradient finish paint job. Even the Lenovo Z5 also looked similar to Motorola P30 and came with few similar specifications. There are also rumors that the company might soon launch Motorola P30 Note and P30 Play. As of now, the Motorola P30 is only limited to the Chinese market.

It comes in White, Black, and Aurora Blue color options. Coming to the pricing, the Motorola P30 with 64GB and 128GB of internal storage is priced at 2099 Yuan and 2499 Yuan respectively. The device runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with the custom ZUI 4.0 skin on top. It sports a metal frame with 2.5D Gorilla Glass on the front and rear. On the front, the device offers a 6.2-inch IPS display with Full HD+ (2246 × 1080 pixels) resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is the 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Mobile Platform coupled with 6GB of RAM and Adreno 509 GPU.

The device comes in 64GB and 128GB storage options and there is also a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of up to 256GB. The Moto dimple on the rear also comes with an integrated fingerprint sensor. In the camera department, the device sports dual rear cameras featuring a 16MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 5MP secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture. For selfies, the Motorola P30 offers a single 12MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. Both the front and rear cameras come accompanied by a LED flash.

It is backed by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery that also supports 18W Fast charging input. The Motorola P30 can also be unlocked using the AI face unlock feature. It measures 155.8 × 75.95 × 7.69 mm and weighs around 170 grams. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.
