OPPO F9 Launched with 6.3″ Waterdrop Screen & 25MP Selfie Camera
OPPO has already confirmed to launch the OPPO F9 Pro smartphone on August 21st in India. Today, the company has officially unveiled the OPPO F9 smartphone in Vietnam. Both the OPPO F9 and F9 Pro will be coming with the similar design and specifications. The device comes with patterned glass back body with a gradient finish. It comes in Sunrise Red and Twilight Blue color options. In Vietnam, the OPPO F9 is priced at VND 76,90,000 (approx $ 332 / Rs 23,300).
With the OPPO F9, the company is introducing the waterdrop screen that features V-shaped notch. The upcoming OPPO R17 and R17 Pro will also come with the same waterdrop screen. The OPPO F9 comes with a 6.3-inch Full HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) water drop display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. With the little notch on the top, the 6.3-inch display offers more than 90% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, it comes powered by 12nm MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz and includes Mali-G72 MP3 GPU.
The device packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be expandable up to 256GB using a MicroSD card slot. In the camera department, the OPPO F9 sports 16MP + 2MP dual rear cameras with f/1.85 aperture and LED flash. On the front is a 25MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. The company has integrated AI features for capturing. It also sports rear-facing fingerprint sensor and supports face unlock. The OPPO F9 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with Color OS 5.2 skin on top.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. The device is backed by a 3,500mAh battery that also supports VOOC flash charge fast charging technology. According to the company, the device can five 2 hours of talk time with just 5 minutes of charging. It measures 156.7 x 74 x 7.9 mm and weighs 169 grams.
