Xiaomi Launches Mi Pad 4 Plus with 10.1″ Display & 8620mAh Battery

Earlier this year, Xiaomi launched a new Android tablet called Mi Pad 4 as the successor to last year’s Mi Pad 3. However, there are rumors that the company might soon launch the Mi Pad 4 Plus with a larger display. Today, Xiaomi has officially launched the Mi Pad 4 Plus in China. The Mi Pad 4 Plus looks similar to Mi Pad 4 but comes in a slightly larger form factor. It comes in 64GB and 128GB of internal storage options and is priced at 1,899 Yuan (approx $275 / Rs 19,300) and 2,099 Yuan (approx $305 / Rs 21,300) respectively.

While the Mi Pad 4 came with an 8-inch display, the new Mi Pad 4 Plus offers a larger 10.1-inch display with WUXGA (1920 x 1200 pixels) display with 16:10 aspect ratio. The new Mi Pad 4 Plus also sports front-facing fingerprint sensor placed beneath the display. It is powered by 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform and comes coupled with Kryo 260 CPU and Adreno 512 GPU. There is 4GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB of internal storage that can be further expandable up to another 256GB.

Both the Mi Pad 4 and Mi Pad 4 Plus shares the same set of cameras. There is a 13MP camera on the rear with f/2.0 aperture and 5MP selfie camera on the front with the same f/2.0 aperture. Along with the fingerprint unlock, the Mi Pad 4 Plus can also be unlocked through AI face unlock. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with MIUI skin on top. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port. There are bottom firing stereo speakers on this tablet.

Coming to the battery, the 10.1-inch tablet packs a huge 8,620mAh battery. However, the tablet doesn’t support fast charging and comes with a 5V/2A power adapter. It measures 245.60 x 149.08 x 7.99 mm and weighs 485 grams. The Mi Pad 4 Plus with metal unibody design will be available in Black and Gold color options. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
