Alcatel Fierce 4 Smartphone with 5.5″ HD Display & 8MP Camera Launched at $69

Alcatel Fierce 4

Alcatel Fierce 4 is a new device that is launched by MetroPCS which will be featuring a premium look with its form factor. MetroPCS has launched the Tru smartphone for $29 a few days earlier which was an entry level device. The Fierce 4 has been listed on the pre-paid carrier’s website and is also available through the stores from today for $69. There are only a few devices in the market that are priced for less than $100, and this device can be more than a deal considering its specifications.

The Fierce 4 will sport a 5.5-inch touchscreen display with 1280 x 720-pixel resolutions and is protected with Dragontrail glass to protect it from scratches. The handset is powered by a 1.1 GHz quad-core MSM8909 processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM. The onboard memory of the device is 16GB that can further extend to 32GB via microSD card.

This device from Alcatel will be supporting 4G LTE connectivity and has other connectivity options like Bluetooth v4.1, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Micro USB. On the camera front, the device will be having an 8MP AF rear facing camera with flash and it is accompanied with 5MP camera on the front. The device can also shoot 1080p videos at 30 fps and will be having other features to enhance the images.

The Fierce 4 will come with sensors like Accelerometer, G-sensor, Proximity sensor, E-compass and Light sensor. There is a 2500 mAh battery on the back that can give a standby time of 526 hours and a talk time of 12 hours. For now, the device is available through the official website and also via MetroPCS offline stores. There is not information on when this device will go globally, which I think is not possible for now. Alcatel has been continually striving to compete against the big smartphone makers, and it is working towards it. If you have more doubts regarding the same, do comment in the section below and stay tuned for more news.
