Intex launches Aqua 4.5 3G Smartphone with Android 4.4.2 Kitkat at Rs 3349
Intex Aqua 4.5 3G is an entry-level device that comes with the best buy of Rs. 3349. This device will be included in the Aqua series of the lineup and as the name of the device suggest it is going to be a 3G variant. Although this device from Intex comes with an affordable price, I don’t think it will make much impact with the kind of specifications that it has. It is too early to say anything since it is targeted to the first-time Android users, but with many devices offering better specs with a bit more investment it will be interesting to see how this device will be featuring in the market.
The Intex Aqua 4.5 carries a 4.5-inch LCD multi-touch display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels (FWVGA) and a pixel density of 218ppi. With 8.9 mm of thickness the device weights 132.7 grams which is on the lighter side that makes it easier to carry and use. There is a 1.2 GHz dual-core MTK6572S/W processor coupled with a low DDR2 512MB RAM and Mali-400MP GPU. The device is coming with Android 4.4.2 Kitkat operating system out of the box and there is no news about the further updates.
The device comes with 4 GB of internal storage out of which half of it will be occupied by the OS and will make it hard to install applications. The memory can be extended to a maximum of 32GB via microSD card slot. There is a 2 MP camera on the rear that comes with features likes Smile Shot and Face Detection. And there is a VGA camera on the front for video calling and selfies.
At the back of the device, there is a Li-ion 1500mAh battery that can give a standby up to 150h and talk time up to 5 hours on GSM. The connectivity options include WLAN, Bluetooth, GPS/AGPS, FM Radio, USB and 3.5mm jack. There are not many sensors on the device apart from the G-sensor. The device is a dual SIM variant that supports one standard SIM and the second SIM slot supports Micro SIM card.
