Archos to launch 55 Diamond Selfie Lite with 8MP Front Camera, 3GB RAM at IFA

After the launch of the Archos 55 Diamond Selfie, Archos is going to launch the lighter version called as 55 Diamond Selfie Lite. This device will have a cut down in the price as well as in the technical specifications. The handset will be available in Black and Grey colour variants and weights 184 grams and like its sibling, even this device will come with a scratch resistant glass on either side of the device. This handset is going to be showcased in the event scheduled in IFA along with many other devices.

The 55 Diamond Selfie Lite will come with FHD (1920 x 1080) display resolution on its 5.5-inch capacitive touch screen that will give a pixel density of 401 ppi. The handset is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8937 Octa-core processor with a clocking speed of 1.4 GHz coupled with Adreno 505 GPU and 3 GB RAM.

This handset will come with an internal memory of 64 GB that can be extended up to a maximum of 128 GB via microSD card. There is a 3000 mAh battery on the device that gives a Talk time of up to 12 hours and standby up to 300 hours. The device comes out of the box with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and there is nothing mentioned about the further updates. The company has also pushed in the fingerprint sensor onto this device for enhancing the security.

There is a 16MP Autofocus camera on the rear with LED flash and on the front, there is an 8 MP camera with screen flash especially for selfie lovers. There are sensors likes, Gyroscope, 3D-G sensor, Light and Proximity sensor. The device supports USB OTG drive for faster data transfer and has other connectivity options like microUSB v2.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n. WiFi Direct, Bluetooth v4.0 and GPS.
