Honor 6X with Kirin 655 SoC & Dual Rear Cameras Officially Launched

Honor, the sub-brand of the world third largest smartphone brand Huawei, has officially launched the long rumored Honor 6X smartphone today in China. The device will be the direct successor to Honor 5X that was launched in the first half of 2016. After Honor 8 and Honor V8, the Honor 6X is the third smartphone from the brand launched in 2016 to come with dual rear cameras. Unlike the other two devices, the Honor 6X comes with a 12MP + 2MP camera setup where the main sensor captures the images with full resolution and the secondary sensor is used for calculating the depth in the images for bokeh effects.

The device comes with the model number BLN-Al10 and sports metal build body. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the highly customized EMUI 4.1 skin on top. On the front is a 5.5-inch IPS display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and a 2.5D glass on top. It is powered by the in-house Kirin 655 octa-core processor clocked at 2.1GHz and coupled with Mali T830 GPU. It comes with 3GB/4GB of RAM and will be available in 32GB/64GB storage variants. There is also a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion additionally upto 128GB. The Honor 6X support dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE for making HD voice calls.
