iBall Launches Slide Wings 4GP Android Tablet with VoLTE Support for Rs. 9,999

Back in 2013, the tablets are expected to replace the laptops. But the tablets never showed that impact on the market, even the sales are going down in the last few quarters. Interestingly, Microsft came up with the Surface lineup of tablets packing powerful specification and kickstand on the back for making it use like a laptop. However, the low-cost tablets are still generating more sales than the high-end ones. Just like smartphones, the companies are offering best possible hardware for the minimum price tag. Along with low-cost smartphones, the Indian manufacturers are bringing the affordable tablets to the market.

Today, Intex came out with the Slide Wings 4GP tablet running on Android OS. It comes in Silver Chrome color and sports a polycarbonate shell. Considering the other Intex tablets, the Slide Wings 4GP tablet is priced slightly on the higher side at Rs. 9,999, but it is currently retailing at Rs. 8,999 on Amazon India. The tablet comes with a SIM card and supports VoLTE for making HD voice calls and accessing high-speed data. On the front is an 8-inch display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. The tablet comes powered by MediaTek MT8735 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz.

There is 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card for storage expansion. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and comes pre-installed with Microsoft apps like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. In the camera department, the tablet sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The connectivity options on this dual SIM tablet are 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm Audio port, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. Since the tablet are mostly used for consuming entertainment content, it is backed by a 4,300mAh battery that can give decent battery life.

It also supports 21 Indian regional languages on the system level. The power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge of the device. The loudspeaker can be spotted on the bottom rear of the device.
