Sony launches the Xperia XZs Smartphone in India at 49,990
You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
Sony launched the Xperia XZs smartphone at Mobile World Congress earlier this year along with the Xperia XZ Premium. Now the company has brought this device to India, and they have officially announced it now at an event here in India. Talking about the device, if you don’t know already, the Xperia XZs is the successor to the Xperia XZ which the company launched earlier, and this new one definitely brings a couple of new upgrades to the table.
The new Xperia XZs smartphone comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This one is a Triluminos display, and unlike some of the newer smartphones, this one comes with pretty much the same design with those huge bezels on the front of the device. Internally, the Xperia XZs is powered by a Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor, which is last year’s processors and we already have a new one in the market. There is also a 4GB of RAM, and it has the Adreno 530 GPU for graphics processing. The smartphones come with an internal storage of 64GB, however, if you want more storage, then you can also expand it via a microSD card upto 256GB.
The main focus here in this device is sort of on the camera since we have a new technology here called the Motion Eye camera. This is the exact same camera which is also on the Xperia XZ Premium and the company claims that it is capable of giving great a performance. It has a 19MP sensor with f/2.0 lens. It also has triple image sensing and 5-axis stabilization technology. One of the highlights is that it can capture slow motion videos at 960 FPS. On the front for the selfies, we have a 13MP sensor f/2.0 aperture. Also, just like the other Sony smartphones we have seen in the past, this one is also water and dust resistant with the IP65/68 certification.
The Xperia XZs runs on Android 70 Nougat out of the box and it is expected that it will be soon be updated to Android O. Although the internals seems to be nice and powerful, the battery which will be powering them has rather a small capacity coming in with just 2,900 mAh. The Indian variants will come with dual SIM dual standby feature and it will also offer 4G VoLTE support. The Sony Xperia XZs is priced at INR and it will be available to purchase starting in three color variants i.e. Ice Blue, Black and Warm Silver.
