Vivo V5 Plus IPL Edition in Matte Black Color to Launch Tomorrow
You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
In January, Vivo launched the high-end Vivo V5 Plus smartphone in India. It came with the dual-lens selfie camera on the front for capturing high quality selfies and also offers DSLR-like bokeh effect. It is currently retailing at Rs. 27,980 and is available across India via offline retail stores. Tomorrow, the company will be unveiling the Vivo V5 Plus IPL Limited Edition smartphone in Hyderabad. FYI, Vivo is also the title sponsor for the Indian Premier League (IPL), and the new limited edition devices mark the 10th anniversary of IPL which starts from April 5th.
While the Vivo V5 Plus is launched only in Gold color option, the new IPL limited edition device comes in complete Matte Black color covering everything including the front panel, Antennas, and fingerprint sensor. Apart from the Matte Black colored Vivo V5 Plus, we expect to see some additional accessories within the package. Earlier to this, OPPO, the official partner of the 2016 ICC World Twenty20 tournament, launched the Oppo F1 ICC WT20 Limited Edition. It came with a WT20 logo engraved on the rear along with a selfie stick, a back cover, and an exclusive 2016 ICC WT20 key chain.
Apart from the new color options, we don’t expect to see changes on the specifications side. It features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display that comes protected with a Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Under the hood is the 64-bit Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz and comes coupled with Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB of RAM. There is also 64GB internal storage that can be further expanded up to 128GB via MicroSD card slot. The V5 Plus runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with FunTouch UI on top. The latest Android 7.0 Nougat update can’t be expected anytime soon.
Talking about its USP, there are 20MP & 8MP camera sensors on the front. On the rear is a 16MP sensor with PDAF and f/2.0 aperture. Both the cameras sports LED flash for capturing photos and videos even in the low light conditions. The V5 Plus is powered by a 3160mAh non-removable battery and supports fast charging. The home button on the front also comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor. The pricing and the availability of this new Vivo V5 Plus IPL Edition will be announced tomorrow.
