Alcatel U5 HD Smartphone Launched in India with 4G VoLTE for Rs 5999

Alcatel announced the U5 HD smartphone as an upgraded variant to the earlier launched Alcatel U5. The Alcatel U5 was first launched at the MWC 2017 event held in Barcelona earlier this year. A few days ago, the Alcatel U5 HD was leaked along with few other Alcatel smartphones. The company is expected to unveil a bunch of new smartphones at the IFA 2017. Talking about the Alcatel U5 HD, the pricing and the availability are expected to be announced at the upcoming IFA 2017. The smartphone will be available in Black and White color options.
The Alcatel U5 HD comes with a polycarbonate body with a textured back panel. It comes with a 5.5-inch display and offers HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. Under the hood is the 64-bit MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and comes coupled with Mali T720 GPU. It packs 1GB of RAM and just 8GB of internal storage. However, there is a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage up to 128GB. Beneath the display are the three capacitive navigation buttons. The volume rocker and power button are placed on the right edge.
The smartphone runs on latest Android 7.0 Nougat without much customization to UI. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE connectivity. In the camera department, the Alcatel U5 HD sports an 8MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash. On the front is a 5MP camera with LED flash for selfies and video calls. It is backed by a 2,200mAh battery that is rated to give up to 4 hours of talk time and lasts up to 200 hours on standby. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more information!
